This is the year language arrives in a rush, and the year children discover that other children are interesting rather than simply in the way.
Language, all day
Our educators narrate the day aloud, name what children are doing and ask questions that need more than a yes or a no. It is the single most effective thing anyone can do for language at this age, and at Bright it is deliberate rather than incidental.
Learning to be with other people
Sharing, taking turns, and finding the words instead of the hands. We guide it in the moment, as it happens.
Sensory play, on purpose
Sand, water, paint, dough and dirt. Touch, sound, movement and colour activities support cognitive development, and they are also how small hands become strong enough to hold a pencil later on.
Toilet training when you are ready
We follow your lead and keep things consistent between home and the centre. Nappies and wipes stay included for as long as they are needed.
