Child care fees are not a simple number, because what one centre includes another charges for. Rather than quote a figure that means nothing on its own, here is exactly what a day at Bright covers.

Included in the daily fee

  • All meals. Breakfast, morning tea, a hot lunch and afternoon tea, cooked fresh in-house every day by our own chef, on a four-week rotational seasonal menu developed with reference to the latest research from Nutrition Australia.
  • Nappies and wipes of the highest quality, for as long as they are needed.
  • Sunscreen and all program materials.
  • Our STEM program and sensory play spaces, for all ages.
  • Regular excursions into the community.
  • The school readiness program, including 3P Learning’s Reading Eggs and Mathseeds.
  • Cot linen in the nursery.

What you bring

A hat, a water bottle and a spare change of clothes. Bottles, formula or expressed milk for babies. That is the whole list.

The Child Care Subsidy

Most families do not pay the full daily fee. The Child Care Subsidy reduces it according to your family income. Since 5 January 2026 the Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee means every CCS-eligible family is entitled to at least 72 subsidised hours a fortnight — three days a week — regardless of how much work, study or other recognised activity a family does. Families with more than 48 hours of recognised participation a fortnight can still access up to 100 hours.

Services Australia’s payment and service finder will give you an estimate for your circumstances in a few minutes.

Common questions about fees

What is included in the daily fee?

All meals cooked in-house, nappies and wipes, sunscreen, cot linen in the nursery, all program materials, our STEM program, sensory play, regular excursions and the school readiness program including Reading Eggs and Mathseeds. You bring a hat, a water bottle and a change of clothes.

Why is there no fee figure on this page?

Because the number on its own would tell you very little. What you actually pay depends on your Child Care Subsidy percentage, and what the fee covers differs from centre to centre. We would rather give you a real out-of-pocket figure for your family, on the phone or on a tour, than a headline rate you then have to decode.

How does the Child Care Subsidy work?

The Child Care Subsidy is paid by the Australian Government directly to the centre and reduces the fee you are charged. The percentage depends on your family income. Since 5 January 2026, all CCS-eligible families are guaranteed at least 72 subsidised hours a fortnight under the 3 Day Guarantee, with up to 100 hours available to families with more than 48 hours of recognised participation a fortnight.

Am I charged for public holidays and days my child is absent?

Centres set their own policy on this, and ours is set out in full in the enrolment agreement. Ask us on your tour and we will tell you exactly how it works before you enrol, rather than after.

Is there an enrolment fee or a bond?

Ask us when you call or visit and we will tell you straight. We will not put anything in front of you at enrolment that we have not already explained.

Do you have places available?

Availability changes from month to month and differs by age group. Call us on (02) 9584 1691 or book a tour and we will tell you exactly what is open in your child’s age group and when.
